Alpe Adria Orienteering Cup is an international orienteering event open to representative teams of the regions in the Alpe Adria community. Each team is composed by 15 athletes: seven in the Elite classes (four men and three women), four youngsters under 18 (two mens and two women) and four masters over 35 (two men and two women) The event takes place in three days and includes a middle distance race, a long distance race and a relay. The region which takes the largest number of points (summing the athletes placings in the three races) will be the winner.

The AAOC started in 1990, when the first edition was held discreetly in Baranya, Hungary. The participation increased and increased until - after 10 years - almost all the 18 regions entered the competition. The event has therefore become one of the most prestigious o-competition in Central Europe. Since 1992, Venetian representative team has always taken part in this important meeting, getting better and better results. Best placing was 2nd in 1996; after that, it has always been among the best five teams.
